Pro-Vision does not initiate its own projects, but partners with “Servant Leaders” who are already doing significant work to make a difference in the lives of widows, orphans and vulnerable children in their local area..
The Servant Leaders know what is needed and possess the passion but often do not have the organizational ability to deliver an effective service to their community due to a lack of capacity in areas of administration, organizational development and fundraising. As a result many of these desperately needed projects fail or are not sustainable over the long term. Instead of seeing failure, Pro-Vision comes along side to help “shoulder the weight” of the demands required to see these projects/organizations succeed.
Pro-Vision strengthens these organizations through an intensive two year (minimum) capacity building program. Our professional mentors (link to mentor bio’s) work closely with the project leaders to “teach them how to fish” and ensure that their organizations can not just survive, but thrive on their own.
Our “Servant Leaders”…
- are endorsed by local Ward Councillors and community leaders, and
- are affirmed by a solid track record of active work in their community.
- are committed to relationship and accountability with all stakeholders.
- live and work according to our core values and principles of integrity, professionalism, loyalty, transparency and the celebration of life!
Pro-Vision has taken a long hard look at the Community/Leader Development landscape and has adopted a proven methodology to build true capacity and sustainability within committed Community Based Organization’s (CBOs) serving widows and orphans. The methodology is called M3 and refers to “Mentoring, Management and Money”.
These three areas of comprehensive support are provided to our Servant Leaders. For more detail on the M3 please click here.
