Here’s how it works.
Step 1. Prior to dispersing funds, PVIC pre-qualifies, through a rigorous and proven process, a local servant leader who is currently involved in or leading a community based organization.
Step 2. PVIC sends one of its qualified mentors to meet the local servant leader. Our mentor assesses the situation, capabilities, and requirements which determine if the support of PVIC is a proper fit. Once the mentors communicate back to the Chairman, the project is approved, elevated for board discussion and approval, or denied.
Step 3. Once a project is approved the monies available are allocated to the appropriate projects. The more money we have available, the more projects PVIC can handle. The expenses of each project include mentor salaries or sustenance allowances, travel expenses for servant leader and/or mentor, program development, and depending on the severity of a situation, immediate aid for food, shelter, water, or clothing. (As is the case in Zimbabwe currently) The mentor handles all PVIC monies on the ground and ensures that proper accounting, reporting and distribution is completed. The mentor provides a summary report of each transaction to the PVIC Chairman who then reports to the board.
Step 4. We at PVIC communicate to our vision partners via the following:
- Vision Partner Updates. Expect written text describing the journey of each project, financial transparency, and pictures and video (when possible). Updates will be available for both Individual Partners and for Business Partners. Everyone is entitled to access and distribute both updates.
- Local leader communication. As leaders are mentored, they will reach a point where they will begin putting out there own communication. It is reasonable that Vision Partners will also receive correspondence from the local leader’s organization.
- PVIC website. This is currently under construction for the second time and will possess all the Vision Partner Updates. When the website is ready, we will be prepared to receive credit card and PayPal donations. (Currently we accept money in the form of cheque or cash.)
